In recent years, Saudi Arabia has made it easier than ever to visit Makkah and Madinah by introducing eVisa options for dozens of nationalities.

Hajj Requires a Specific Hajj Visa

Important: You cannot perform Hajj on any of the visas listed below. Hajj requires a specific Hajj Visa obtained exclusively through the Nusuk Hajj platform or authorized country quotas. Attempting to perform Hajj on a Tourist or Umrah visa is illegal and will result in deportation and bans.

Tourist eVisa

The fastest option if you hold a passport from one of the 63+ eligible countries (US, UK, EU, Aus, etc.) or hold a valid US/UK/Schengen visa. It allows multiple entries for up to 1 year, and you can perform Umrah anytime (except during Hajj season).

Electronic Umrah Visa

For nationalities not eligible for the Tourist eVisa. You must apply through the official Nusuk portal or an approved travel agency. It is usually valid for 90 days and allows you to travel freely across Saudi Arabia.

Transit / Stopover Visa

If you are flying internationally with Saudia or Flynas, you can apply for a free Transit Visa during booking. It allows you to enter Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours (4 days) to perform Umrah before catching your connecting flight.
