"Hajj is Arafah"

The Ultimate Expiation: For those who are not performing Hajj, fasting on the Day of Arafah is a highly recommended Sunnah. The Prophet ï·º was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah and he replied: "It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Sahih Muslim).

The Best Dua on Arafah

The Prophet ï·º said: "The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah, and the best thing that I and the Prophets before me have said is:"

لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير
"La ilaha ill-Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir."
"None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent."

Descent of Forgiveness

Aisha (RA) reported that the Prophet ï·º said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels."

Perfection of Religion

It was on the Day of Arafah that Allah revealed the verse: "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Quran 5:3).
