Wisdom: Allah tells us of Prophet Ibrahim making dua for righteous children — showing us that even the greatest Prophets made sincere dua for their offspring. Our children are an amanah (trust) from Allah.
Transliteration: U'eedhukuma bi kalimati-llahit-tammati min kulli shaytanin wa hammah, wa min kulli 'aynin lammah (Say "u'eedhuka" for one child, "u'eedhukuma" for two, "u'eedhukum" for more than two)
Meaning: "I seek protection for you both in the perfect words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye."

The Islamic Approach to Raising Righteous Children
Children are described in the Quran as one of the greatest adornments of worldly life: "Wealth and children are the adornment of worldly life." (Surah Al-Kahf 18:46). But they are also a great test and responsibility — a trust (amanah) from Allah that we will be asked about on the Day of Judgment.
When to Recite These Duas
Make these duas regularly after every Fardh (obligatory) prayer.
Recite the protection dua (Hadith of Hasan & Husayn) over your children every night before they sleep.
Blow gently on your children after reciting the protection dua — this is exactly what the Prophet ﷺ did.
Other Sunnah Acts for Children's Tarbiyah
Beyond dua, the Islamic approach to raising children includes reciting the Adhan in their right ear at birth, performing Aqiqah on the 7th day, teaching them Surah Al-Fatiha early, and consistently modeling the Sunnah in daily life. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best gift a father can give his children is good manners and upbringing." (Tirmidhi)
