Etiquette of Dua on Arafat
- Face the Qibla and raise your hands high, like a beggar asking for alms.
- Praise Allah first, then send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, then ask for your needs.
- Do not stop making Dua from Dhuhr until the sun completely sets (Maghrib).
- Weep, and if you cannot weep, make yourself weep. Be extremely humble.
- Ask for the Hereafter first, then ask for your worldly needs.
The Best Dua for Arafat
"None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent."
TIRMIDHI 3585 (The Prophet ﷺ said this is the best Dua he and the prophets before him said on Arafat)
Sayyid al-Istighfar (The Chief of Forgiveness)
"O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am abiding to Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sins except You."

Asking for the Good of Both Worlds
"Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar."
"Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
QURAN 2:201
The Ultimate Protection
"O Ever-Living One, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help. Rectify all my affairs, and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye."
