Meaning of "Kursi" in Ayatul Kursi
The word Kursi (كرسي) literally means "Chair" or "Footstool" but in this context refers to the Divine Footstool (or Throne) of Allah ﷻ. The verse states that Allah's Kursi extends over the entire heavens and earth — a testament to His infinite and all-encompassing knowledge and power.
